چکیده

Mathematical knowledge is publicly available in dozens of different formats and languages, ranging from informal (e.g. Wikipedia) to formal corpora (e.g., Mizar). Despite an enormous amount of overlap between these corpora, few machine-actionable connections exist. We speak of alignment if the same concept occurs in different libraries, possibly with slightly different names, notations, or formal definitions. Leveraging these alignments would create a huge potential for knowledge sharing and transfer, e.g., integrating theorem provers or reusing services across systems. Formally describing and verifying alignments is extremely expensive, as it typically requires not only aligning two concepts but whole libraries together with their foundations, or may even be impossible in case of alignments between semi-formal or informal concepts. Therefore, we introduce a lightweight approach that focuses on identifying the alignments while abstracting from formal definitions. Notably, this is already sufficient for many practically valuable applications. We present a classification of alignments and design a simple format for describing alignments as well as an infrastructure for sharing them. We propose these as a centralized standard for the community to collect and curate alignments from the different kinds of mathematical corpora, including proof assistant libraries, computer algebra and programming language algorithms, and semi-formal libraries.

The Effect of efficiency of cooperative learning method on increasing blind students' perception of mathematical conceptions

Blind students have limitations that their teachers have to apply efficient educational methods for them. Since mathematics concepts are abstract for blind students and they cannot understand these concepts deeply, this research has tried that used and introduced cooperative learning method for this reason. Blind students have high listening capacity then cooperative learning method can pro...

The Stability of Non-standard Finite Difference Scheme for Solution of Partial Differential Equations of Fractional Order

Fractional derivatives and integrals are new concepts of derivatives and integrals of arbitrary order. Partial differential equations whose derivatives can be of fractional order are called fractional partial differential equations (FPDEs). Recently, these equations have received special attention due to their high practical applications. In this paper, we survey a rather general case of FPDE t...

Experience in Aligning Anatomical Ontologies

An ontology is a formal representation of a domain modeling the entities in the domain and their relations. When a domain is represented by multiple ontologies, there is need for creating mappings among these ontologies in order to facilitate the integration of data annotated with these ontologies and reasoning across ontologies. The objective of this paper is to recapitulate our experience in ...

Aligning Anatomical Ontologies: The Role of Complex Structural Rules

An ontology is a formal representation of a domain supporting a variety of tasks. A given domain is often represented by multiple ontologies, providing overlapping, yet different coverage and possibly differing in their representation of the domain knowledge. There is a need for creating mappings among such ontologies in order to facilitate knowledge sharing and reuse. Anatomy is central to the...
